Privacy policy

Last updated: 4 October 2026

The short version

  • The add-on moves events between your Google Calendar and your Google Sheet, inside your own Google account.
  • We run no server for it. Your events and the contents of your spreadsheet never reach us, so we cannot read, store, share or sell them.
  • The only thing the add-on sends outside Google is a licence key, to check that a Pro subscription is active.
  • This website uses no cookies and no tracking.

1. Who we are

DropScribe (“we”, “us”) makes DropScribe Calendar Export, an add-on for Google Sheets (“the add-on”), and runs this website, sheets.dropscribe.app. For any question about privacy, write to privacy@dropscribe.app.

This policy covers the add-on and this website. DropScribe's product for Shopify stores has its own policy at dropscribe.app/privacy.

2. What the add-on can access in your Google account

When you install the add-on, Google asks you to allow the access below. Each item is used only for the purpose beside it.

DataWhat the add-on does with it
The list of your calendars: their names, colours, and whether you can add events to themShows the list in the side panel so you can choose.
Events in the calendars and dates you choose: title, start and end, location, description, guests' email addresses and the event linkWrites them into your spreadsheet when you click Export, or when a daily refresh you switched on runs.
The spreadsheet you open the add-on in: the column names in row 1 and the rows you selectReads your rows to create calendar events. Writes the export, and the Event ID and Status of each created event, into the sheet.

The add-on can add events to your calendars. It has no feature that edits or deletes an event. It cannot open any spreadsheet other than the one you are using it in.

3. How that data is used

4. What the add-on stores

The add-on saves a few settings in the storage Google gives to add-ons. They stay inside Google, and we cannot read them.

It does not keep a copy of your events or of your spreadsheet anywhere.

5. What is sent outside Google

Only a licence check, and only if you have entered a licence key:

Dodo's reply to an activation includes details of the purchase. The add-on reads which product the key belongs to and keeps nothing else. Nothing from your calendar or your spreadsheet is ever part of these requests.

6. Payments

Payments for Pro are processed by Dodo Payments. At checkout they collect your name, email address, billing country and payment details, under their own privacy policy. We never receive your card number.

From Dodo Payments we receive your name, email address, country, what you bought and the state of your subscription. We use this to deliver your licence key, to answer support requests, and to keep the accounts the law requires.

9. Google's Limited Use rules

DropScribe Calendar Export's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to receive a copy of it, and to object to how it is used. To use any of these rights, write to privacy@dropscribe.app. We reply within 30 days.

11. Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, we update the date at the top and describe what changed. If a change affects how the add-on uses your Google data, we will tell you and ask for your consent before it applies.
